Sports Photography

During the summer of 2018, a friend of mine convinced me to take a break from the portrait and landscape work I had been doing, and try my hand at sports photography. I agreed to give it a shot, and did I ever find something I love. I had covered 3 games with him and met a few of the other local sports photographers, I was quickly learning what a challenge covering a game could be.

Going into week 3 of the 2018 Football Season I was introduced to Andre Kendrick, he had approached me to come cover E.C. Glass football. I truly didn’t quite understand what I was stepping into and how much it would eventually mean to me. Going from bouncing to different schools each week with Allen, I found myself being with the same team week in and week out. Getting to see first hand a great team that was on no ones radar at that moment. The friendships I made with Andre, the staff, as well as the kids, was life changing for me. They gave me a shot and took me into the Family that is E.C. Glass. There truly is something special being able to be there and have the access to capture sports moments for the kids and the families.
